Success!

After waiting for seven days for the results to appear, and with the possibility of a further three day wait (the results were due on 17th), I was very happy to receive notification that I'd passed the course, with a grade 2 pass. The grades, in descending order, are distinction, grade 2 pass, grade 3 pass, fail.

I sent messages around to my fellow mad astronomers, Paul, Roy, Kirsten and even Pete (I didn't have Jules' number otherwise I would have texted him too), and within a few minutes, they were checking their results too.

Brainy Pete got a distinction, which is brilliant news, I am very happy for him. All the others passed with good results, so I am very happy tonight.

It was a very eventful course, and I don't regret it for a minute. I'm saddened at the thought that there are hundreds, possibly thousands of OU students who will be denied the opportunity to take the course, as it is one of those destined for the 'chop', in order for the OU to save money. But I loved every minute of it, and I am very glad I took the plunge.

So this is me, signing off for this blog, and wishing anyone who reads this good luck with their studies.
