I am not going to start booking flights and making plans until (a) I get my confirmation on paper, and (b) I get back from doing SXR103, which is just 9 days away. Butterflies again.
The whole SXR208 course, including the preparatory work, starts on 6 February 2010. I have a lot of swotting up to do between now and then, that's for sure. I would ideally be doing SXR208 after S282 (Astronomy) or after S283 (Planetary Science and the Search for Life), but with it looking increasingly likely that the OU is about to axe all its residential schools (except for SXR103), I have to get in quick whilst I still have the chance.
And, as I think I said the other day, going to Mallorca in late March means I can use up the carried-over holiday from 2009, thus enabling Alan and I to have a proper two-week holiday in 2010. One week abroad simply is not enough, as we have found out to our cost.
