11.49pm. The sky clouded over and it stayed completely obscured for about 30 minutes. However it cleared dramatically, and quite quickly we had taken captures of the spectra of four stars, plus Saturn (with four of her moons) and the Moon. I felt quite choked seeing Saturn, it's the first time I have seen her through a telescope.
For a time, viewing conditions were absolutely perfect, except for the Moon's presence. Fantastic night's work. About to take a break for the midnight snack.
