Lunch

1.18pm. I took a walk down to the beach, caught up with Ian, one of the tutors, who directed me to a cash machine. On the way back I walked through an area of trees right next to the beach, which was dominated by the sound of parrots, who live wild and nest in the trees.

Took a couple of photos on the beach, and I am now finishing lunch, a very fine tortilla, on the open air terrace of Jaime's restaurant. The view over the beach and the bay is lovely. I can hear the sea lapping onto the shore, and it is peaceful.

The food was very nice, I will come here again tomorrow I think. I was just about to finish my drink when I saw Peter Jeremiah walking up the steps. He saw me, waved, and came to join me at my table. I felt awkward getting up and leaving straight away (as I didn't want to appear rude), so I stay another 20 minutes or so, chatting about this and that, before making my excuses and walking back to the hotel. The sun is trying to break through, I hope this is a good omen for tonight's observations, and that the skies will be clear.

I need to get an hour's sleep, then some study before the coach picks us up at half past four.

I can hear Kirsten out on the street. She's a lovely lady, but she only has two volume settings, loud and off.

Still no reply from my maths tutor, so it looks like he may not get back to me in time. A pity. But thanks to Alan's help posting the assignment for me, I will already have done enough to get a pretty convincing grade. I am not worried.
