One day to go

I fly to Mallorca tomorrow. Although I am virtually packed and ready, I don't feel prepared enough. But I have all day on Sunday to read up, and I can read the project materials the afternoon before I need them.

The weather forecast is not improving though. I just hope that the bad weather turns out to be during the day, and that during the night, the skies clear.

This time tomorrow I will be up in the air. Today's flight from Gatwick took off late, at 12.23pm. Fingers crossed there are no problems tomorrow. On that front, I've finally made a decision about my travel plans though.

I had intended to travel via Reading, meaning that I would have to leave on the 0633 from Birmingham New Street. However when the cold reality of a pre 5am start sank in, I started to have second thoughts.

I am now going to leave on the 0700 from Birmingham International. Granted this means an extra change, but the beginning of my journey will now be a taxi ride two miles down the road, rather that a bus journey eight miles into town. I daresay Alan will be grateful of the later start too.

I could leave International as late as 0740 on this route he I wanted but this would leave absolutely no margin for error. Quite tired today, and a quick scan through a couple of the projects has made me realise I have a hard week ahead.
